Dear Ray:
Thank you for a very helpful weekend with our Adult Choir. With a good sense of humor
and a gentle, loving spirit, you guided the choir through the challenging process of
finding their singing voices in front of their peers. The large number who signed up for
private lessons on Saturday and Sunday afternoons and the frequent questions of "When
can he come back?" emphasized the excited response of the choir to your Vocal Freedom
Seminar.
You encouraged and helped us, and we are grateful.

Dear Ray:
What a great time we had last week at the Vocal Freedom seminar!
Our people are really stimulated. Directing the choir is even more fun now,
because members are singing correctly; they are more attentive to instructions and produce
more vocal energy.
We truly enjoyed the time together. You were a great source of inspiration.
You related beautifully to the Youth Choir and were able to accomplish a less
breathy sound than they used previously. They thought you were great.
Also, many were helped by the information you shared for treating bronchitis and
allergy-related problems of the voice.
I would be happy to recommend your services to anyone wishing to improve the
sound of their choir.
We look forward to the next time!
Yours in Christ,
John D. Skipper

(817) 478-4102 Dear Ray,
This last week during the Vocal Freedom Seminar, an emotional,
physical, and spiritual revival took place in the hearts of our people. Our folks
experienced real freedom in singing that they have never had before, thanks to your
teaching. Im thankful that through your aggressive style, there was a genuine
love expressed for everyone in the room, and for those who took private lessons. It
blesses my heart to see people hungry to find their best voice to praise the Lord.
Not only was the seminar wonderful, but your taking the time to work in
rehearsal with our Adult and Youth Choirs was beyond belief. Our Youth Choir now
thinks they are the best in the world. They are singing with the energy that I've been
praying and working toward for a long time. Your masterful touch, enthusiasm, and ability
to communicate with them was beautiful to watch. We had them sing the following Sunday
night they were fantastic! I wish you could have heard the adults on Sunday
morning after you worked with them on "Forever" what power and focus
and energy!
Again, you have helped me with my own vocal production, and I am so
grateful for the insights I have gained that will help me be a better
director/teacher/vocalist. I wish every Minister of Music
would be humble enough to let you come make a valuable contribution to their ministry. Ill enclose some names of directors Ive already talked to
concerning your ministry.
Thanks again. May your life and ministry be blessed by multiples of
what little we have said and given to have you a Tate Springs. I know we have received
much through you. Keep in touch.

South Carolina 29841 Dear Ray:
I wanted to write and express to you my deep feelings of appreciation to you for your
life and ministry. I am moved each time I am with you at the spiritual depth at the heart
of everything you do.
I have been in your seminar four times and I never cease to marvel at how much of a student
you are, never ceasing to learn and always bringing us new materials with each seminar.
Even learning the "old" material again and again is very needful for making the
right kind of progress. Your dedication to studying and the putting into performance what
you learn is a very strong contribution to all that you do.
I feel that your gentle, fun-loving spirit coupled with an equally demanding
teaching style goes a long way toward getting your seminar and lesson students closer
to the vocal freedom that is your trademark. I can truthfully say after my fourth
seminar, and listening to some of your tapes, I have myself, only begun to scratch the
surface of all that our Lord has in store for me in vocal music. You humorously say that
your students must have a teachable spirit and a tough skin. I say, "if
we really want to learn we are not going to let our skin (pride) get in the
way." You help us learn, as I have discovered, if we really want to, and thats
another thing, you really make us want to learn how to sing properly, how to sing freely.
In essence you are the best vocal coach I have ever met. I would heartily
recommend you and your ministry of vocal science and practice to any leader of vocal music
in church, community or school organizations anywhere in the world.
I have also seen you work with preachers in helping them to improve their
delivery. I feel very confident that you would be a tremendous asset to a seminary in
their preaching program, preparing young preachers to use their voice mechanism to more
effectively proclaim the unsearchable riches of Christ.

Dear Ray:
Nothing I have experienced can compare with the results of your "Vocal
Freedom" Seminar. We left amazed with the accomplishments and ecstatic about the
possibilities. Our expectations were confirmed on Sunday morning following the seminar
when Debbie Byrd sang. I wish you could have been there! The "Vocal Freedom"
expressed in her voice helped set Gods Spirit free to move among us and we were
blessed.
During the seminar we laughed, cried, sang, shouted. We began to see the reality of
where we are and the dream of what God really desires for His people in worship. We also
left the seminar knowing we have a new friend in Christ. Your sensitivity was an explicit
example of Jesus ministry on earth. So honest it cut to the core, but so loving we
dared not resist what God was accomplishing through you. You met each individual at their
point of need and stretched our minds and our bodies toward "Vocal
Freedom".
Having the seminar and private lessons not only taught us to worship our Lord more
freely in speech and song, but also gave us the opportunity to minister to people outside
our church family. I am most confident we will see results vocally and spiritually for
many years.
We are eagerly anticipating our next seminar and will continually pray for Gods
blessings on your ministry, your family and the people you touch.

Dear Ray Holcomb:
What can I say? Your Vocal Freedom Seminar has left us with tools that we cannot begin
to utilize all at once. I have never been a part of such a vast amount of information and
techniques that actually work for the normal singer. Your approach to the singing voice
has given us a new insight to the art of singing. The content and examples you showed all
of us will enhance all the choirs on the Treasure Coast.
Our attendance was wonderful more than 80 people filled our Parish Center and
made beautiful music better with your help. I would highly recommend your seminar to
everyone in the music field. My three choirs have already improved by using your
techniques. I have heard from other churches that attended that their choirs have improved
to where even the congregation can tell.
You are truly blessed Ray, and God has given you a great talent that you are sharing to
"Praise His Name!" Thank you for the opportunity to share with you; also my
private lessons with you have increased my singing range and ability by two-fold.
God bless you and please keep in touch.

Dear Ray:
It has been some seven months since you were with us. Indeed, Ive been delinquent
in writing you, however, I have had time to carefully review and see the results.
Our music program is rather new with mostly novice singers, yet we have our share of
those who are experienced with various training backgrounds. As a Church running over
1,000 I am focusing on building a strong foundation for what has become an ever expanding
program. I also realize that we can always use qualified help in that process. Thats
where Vocal Freedom came in!
When you arrived, I had no idea what to expect. I knew that those who had experienced
the seminar were ecstatic about the results. Then, the weekend finally arrived and I
watched as about 100 people participated. As you took volunteers with vocal problems, I
sat amazed at the positive change in the vocal production produced by your approach.
Further, as you gave private lessons, I saw many solutions to common problems such as
intonation, range and vibrato. Of course one lesson never could solve all, but each
person, including myself, came away with a new, improved perspective concerning how to
sing more effectively.
We also enjoyed having you minister in song on Sunday. When you challenged the people
during our services to attend a Choral Clinic, once again I did not know what to expect.
To my joy, approximately 30 new men and 40 new women came! This was instrumental in
birthing a "Celebration Choir" which consists of mostly brand new singers. Just
the Choral Clinic alone breathed new musical life into many who otherwise would have never
even visualized being a choir member.
Again, many thanks to both you and your wife for your willingness to continue in this
ministry of encouragement!
Yours in Christ,
Reverent Timothy J. Mercaldo

Dear Ray:
Christian Greetings!
I wanted to let you know the positive impact your Vocal Freedom Seminar had on the
members of my choir. Your ability to convey essential information in such a
straightforward and understandable way was most impressive. I have heard nothing but
affirmative comments from those in attendance.
When I first heard that you had conducted your seminar with the choir at Mount Paran
Church of God in Atlanta, Georgia, I felt assured that you would provide quality teaching
for those in my own choir, but nothing prepared me for your extraordinary knowledge and
teaching ability in the area of vocal freedom.
I would enthusiastically recommend you and your ministry of vocal science and practice
to anyone involved in vocal music. As a member of my denominations state music
committee, I will be glad to do what I can to make your services known to music ministers
and choral directors in southern Georgia. Your seminar would be a tremendous asset to any
music program!
Im looking forward to having you back at Vidalia later this year. Again, many
thanks to you for your service in the work of the Lord.

Dear Fellow Minister of Music
.
February 5-7, it was my privilege to teach at the Sandia Baptist Church, 9429
Constitution, N.E., Albuquerque, N.M. 87112. Phone 505 2713, Clark Henderson, Minister of
Music.
In addition to the seminar, I taught a total of twenty-five private voice lessons
during the day. The three daughters of the Minister of Music, ages 9, 13 and 15 shared a
thirty (30) minute lesson time. Glorious things happened with each young lady.
Each girl accomplished the following:
- Removed the weak breathy soft "little girlish" tone.
- Began to sing with a full, mature, rich sound.
- All three girls developed a good, consistent vibrato. The father was "blown
away".
Please read the attached (copied note from Paula Miller). Three members of the family
had private lessons. Please note some of the results from each lesson:
PAULA had been singing alto. She vocalized to E above high C. She had a very
weak tone. The vibrato became consistent. She also developed a rich, resonant ring.
KRISTINA (the daughter is fourteen). When she first sang for me, the sound was
weak, breathy, soft and very anemic. After some work, the voice sounded full and mature,
the energy was better, the vibrato began to appear and was evenly produced.
SAM (the father) did not attend the first three hour seminar session. Paula
brought him to observe Kristinas lesson. During his lesson time, he tuned
up
.matching tones, and sat beside me and sang the tenor and bass parts to "My
Jesus, I Love Thee"- without missing a pitch. SAM THOUGHT HE WAS A MONOTONE!
This experience is duplicated across the country in many seminars.
PRAISE GOD FROM WHOM ALL BLESSINGS FLOW!
It would be a joy and privilege to come and minister to your people and those in the
surrounding communities! |

Dear Ray:
I am writing to thank you personally for the outstanding job you did as a program
leader for the recent annual meeting of the Georgia Baptist Church Music Conference. Our
immediate past president, Doug Bowers, made an excellent decision in selecting you to
present your Vocal Freedom Seminar to all who were in attendance. I was especially
impressed with your thorough knowledge of the vocal mechanism and the appropriate
processes that are to be used in singing. Your approaches to problem solving in vocal
technique were also quite impressive.
I was quite amazed at how quickly some improvements were made in those who volunteered
to serve as "guinea pigs". Judging from the comments received thus far, I am
confident that everyone in attendance benefited greatly from your teaching.
It will be a pleasure to recommend your vocal Freedom Seminar to others who work not
only with voices, individually in the studio, but also with those who work with choral
groups.
I especially enjoyed the few moments we had to share ideas in teaching and the use of
various approaches in vocal techniques. It was especially inspiring to me to observe that
your outstanding knowledge of the human voice and the enthusiasm with which you teach were
all grounded in deep commitment to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Please call on me at any time that I may be of service to you.

Dear Jim:
As you know, we recently held, for a second time, a seminar here at our church that was
so exciting I wanted to share it with you. It was the Vocal Freedom Seminar led by Ray
Holcomb of Alexandria, Louisiana. I observed him work with youth through senior adult;
getting them on pitch, changing breathy tones to beautiful resonant tones, eliminating
wobbles in the voice, creating lovely vibratos, teaching them to breathe again correctly,
improving diction, and much more.
Mr. Holcomb has a Bachelors and Masters degree in music plus many hours of
specialized studies at Westminster, Juilliard, Conservatory of Music, Kansas City, and
Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth. Along with the seminar ministry,
Mr. Holcomb is used extensively in concerts and choral workshops for youth, adult and
senior choirs. His private students include many recording artists, voice teachers,
ministers of music and other professional singers.
Although he is called on regularly to minister to some of the largest churches in our
convention (such as First Baptist Church, Dallas), he especially has a burden in heart for
ministering to the smaller churches and volunteer music directors. I saw this in action as
he worked with guests from our neighboring churches. Mr. Holcombs God given insights
and ability to help both the professional and the untrained singer is needed across the
convention. His noted specialty is getting to the basic need of each voice quickly,
without "beating around the bush".
It is truly exciting to hear him talk about his calling from God. At his age (a senior
adult) it is still there and he is still excited about what God has in store for him as he
ministers to any who will allow him day to day.
One of the most popular parts both times we had him was when Mr. Holcomb shared some
exciting "proven" helps with allergies, sinus, bronchitis, hay fever and post
nasal drainage. He has gathered helpful information from some of the most outstanding
Otolaryngologists and Nutritionists in their respective fields and does not involve taking
medicine.
He was very sensitive to the people with which he worked, yet asking them to have a
"teachable spirit" and to soar like an eagle. His demanding teaching style
stretched us to new heights for Gods glory.
I will hardily recommend Ray Holcomb to any church and would like to see us use him in
one of our state music retreats (for both full-time and bi-vocational). I know he will
meet a need. He has here and we will have him back for a third seminar.
Sincerely,

Dear MusiCalifornians!
It has been the privilege of this church to have Ray Holcomb as our guest this week. He
has been leading many of our singers through his effective Vocal Freedom Seminar. This has
been a victory week for our music ministry!
First of all, Ray has been used of the Lord to speak directly and frankly to our church
musicians. God has used Ray to spark the seminar participants as well as the rest of our
adult choir to finer excellence as ministers and as singers. His teaching techniques are
very practical. He has struck the balance between technical terminology and
"laymens" jargon so that the trained singer and the vocal novice can easily
understand and comprehend the basic techniques needed for mature singing.
I have seen some of the better singers in our adult choir blossom through Rays
teaching. I have seen, also, a man who was convinced that he could not sing, work with Ray
for only a few minutes and discover that he could sing and that he actually had a very
nice singing voice. Hes now a new choir member.
As a result of Rays ministry with our church this week, several new choir members
have been added to the choirs membership with more seriously considering joining.
This seminar produces a by-product of more choir members.
Rays work with young voices, particularly junior high and high school voices is
very effective. The improvement in my daughters speaking and singing voices is quite
profound.
Ray is a very hard worker, one who is committed to improving the quality of singing for
churches everywhere. Our church has discovered that and will benefit from it for a long,
long time.
I highly recommend that you prayerfully consider hosting a Vocal Freedom Seminar in
your church. Should you have any questions concerning Rays vocal ministry in our
church, then please do not hesitate to contact me.
May our Lord continue to richly bless you and your ongoing ministry in music.

Dear Ray:
I must share with you how pleased I am with the results of our
Vocal Freedom Seminar. You put the love of Christ on display, which enabled our
people to respond to your obviously vast understanding of the human voice. Frankly,
I am still astounded at the number of "non-singers" who grew quickly to the part
of singing a brief solo! You certainly have a great love for teaching -- I'll never
forget having to drag you away from your teaching station in order to get you to the
airport on time.
Ray, we've yet to know the long-term benefits of your weekend with
us, but I do now our church has a renewed interest in singing beautiflly in service to
God. Also, several of those who took a private lesson from you are expressing
interest in continuing to study privately, both voice and piano. In regard to
immediate results, you'll be glad to know that the Wednesday following the seminar we
enrolled six new singers in our adult choir.
I will be contacting you soon about a return engagement for next
year, and I will heatily recommend your seminar to my fellow ministers. Keep 'em
singing!

VOCAL FREEDOM SEMINAR - A REVIEW
We just finished parts of seven days with Ray Holcomb, Vocal
Freedom Seminar leader and vocal technician. We were blessed to have scheduled him
before a nearby choral workshop (ACDA Regional Conference, here in Knoxville), so he was
able to work with our church before and after the American Choral Directors Conference,
where he was an exhibitor.
I was very pleased that one hundred forty (140) of our people came
to the seminar plus those from neighboring churches. It was great to see Ray
"bring out" so many voices of those willing to volunteer during the seminar.
Then it was a great learning experience for me to watch Ray work with seventy one
(71) people, eleven (11) years to older adults in private lessons Saturday through
Tuesday. I witnessed many a person, young and old, who did not realize the voice God
gave them, and how much potential they had. I saw a lady who came for speech
training learn to carry a tune after being told in high school that she couldn't and ought
not be in the choir. She was so elated she laughed and cried tears of joy for the
rest of the lesson. She said, "I'VE HAD A SONG IN MY HEART FOR THIRTY
(30) YEARS JUST WAITING TO LET IT OUT!"
I saw Ray teach a twelve (12) year old young lady who started
singing with a very breathy anemic sound, only to find how to sing with a beautiful rich
resonant tone with a correct vibrato on every pitch. I heard a gravelly voice (along
with many others) realize they could sing with a very free, strong voice--making lovely
sounds. I heard some who have been asociated with friends and relatives, who were
musicians all their lives and felt intimidated and inadequate vocally, find that they had
lovely voices.
After Ray worked with my adult choir in a choral clinic, they began
to sing with more authority and power. I heard an anemic but talented youth choir
open up and discover the fullness and beauty of correct singing.
Lots of lives as well as voices were improved because of the work
of Ray Holcomb.
WE WILL BE ASKING RAY TO COME BACK SOON!

Dear Ray:
As a music educator, I often go to seminars and workshops in search of new or better
methods and techniques of teaching the art of vocal music. The choir director at my church
invited me to register for a vocal seminar you were going to teach at the church. I cannot
begin to tell you of the profound impact you and your vocal insights have had, not only on
me, but on my chorus classes at my school.
I was impressed with the tremendous amount of knowledge and understanding you possess
concerning the vocal apparatus. It was obvious that you have done a lot of research and
study. However, your knowledge did not get in the way, for you made it so easy for all to
comprehend and understand what it takes to have vocal freedom. As I watched you work with
the choir and individuals, it occurred to me that my students need to meet you and your
wealth of vocal experiences.
Thank you for making time in your busy schedule while at the church to spend a day at
my school working with 218 chorus students. You were well received. Your humor put them at
ease. We are using many of your vocal methods and techniques on a regular basis. They are
always saying, "one, one, one" to me.
I have recommended you to our school system for a future in-service workshop, as well
as, the Florida Vocal Association. It is my desire to have you in my school again next
year. Thank you, Ray, for renewing my joy and eagerness to be the very best vocal music
teacher. My quest is complete vocal freedom.

Sue and I are compelled to tell you how much we enjoyed the private lesson we had with
you here at McGregor Church, as well as the group seminar. While Sue has had lessons
before; in fact, she was at one time in training to be an opera singer, however, over the
last few years she has "GOTTEN AWAY FROM IT" and was afraid she lost it. With
your teaching and encouragement, she now knows she still "HAS IT IN HER". Many
many thanks!!!
While I have done a lot of singing in my 42 years, I have never before had any
training. My lesson with you was the first. I learned more in the ½ hour with you than
all my prior life! The breathing techniques and all the other tips have not only helped
embellish my singing, but have filled in obvious gaps that had always existed. Also, your
honest comment about my "NOT BEING A TENOR" has opened my eyes to the fact that
I have probably tried all my life to be something I wasnt (a first tenor), just
because I could abuse myself and sing the high notes.
We would like to work with you more! Please put us on your mailing list.
Please let us know if you are ever in the area (even remotely close) so we can make
arrangements to BE THERE!

Dear Ray:
You were great as usual!! Our choir loved you and learned so much. I was amazed at all
the men from our congregation, who had no prior singing experience, that came to the
seminar. Even some who had never matched pitch did so before the seminar was over. If
anyone ever had the gift of teaching and communicating with the masses, it was you. You
also helped those with music degrees and many years of vocal training. So many went away
saying that they now understood, for the first time, concepts that their teachers had
tried to communicate to them. You also corrected, in minutes, a lot of "bad"
teaching.
Every minister of music, in the country, should have you do a seminar yearly. They
would greatly benefit from it! We will continue to have you here at Champion Forest each
year.

Dear Ray:
Its been two weeks since the seminar and Im still hearing positive comments
on the impact you had on my high school chorus students and my church choir. The biggest
impact of the seminar was probably on me personally. After teaching 20+ years my personal
enthusiasm had dwindled and I found myself accepting some non-truths in my teaching
experience. Watching you work wonders with student after student issued a personal
challenge to me. The over-all sound of every group and individual improved after only a
few minutes of instruction from you.
Your energy level is incredible and I saw you maintain that level the whole time you
were with us. You certainly are and have been providing an invaluable help to choir
directors all over this nation. Im sure you have your critics with your direct style
but the proof lies in the pudding. The results you receive are evidence of sound vocal
principles and a caring and loving teaching style.
May God continue to use and bless you in music ministry.

Dear Ray:
Everytime my mind drifts back to our time together last week, I get "goose
bumps"! What a fantastic week!
You stretched us, tore us apart, exposed our areas of weakness, yet you did it all in
love and then you put us back together with a burning desire to "soar like an
eagle". As an individual and a choir, we will never be the same as a result of the
encounter we have with that "old turkey buzzard".
Thanks for your honesty and your love! Thanks for your God-given ability to speak the
truth in love. You were here for me at a crucial point in my ministry. We praise the Lord
for the way you came on the scene in helping Carol!
I hope you will keep in touch. I already laid some groundwork at Sandy Cove. They are
excited about it. Call me this summer at 301-287-5433.
May God bless you brother and may your ministry increase as he expands and enlarges
your borders of ministry.

| Focus (from the National Christian
Choir) Most of us dont know how to sing! What an
accusation for choir directors and soloists many of whom have been leading others
in singing for years. Many of us have had private voice lessons, degrees in music, and
have advanced to the stage of giving others voice lessons. Yet we still dont know
how to sing!
Heresy? Not at all. The fact is that what we do know is seldom practiced or
conveyed to our choir members in such a way that they learn to sing with freedom in
the voice. We are guilty of abusing our voices and theirs. We are guilty of tight throats,
constricted muscles, lazy breathing habits, forced tones, and you name it. Lest you think
this doesnt apply to you, let me continue.
The National Christian Choir just recently finished a day long seminar taught by Ray
Holcomb. I met Ray at Estes Park when we were teaching at the Christian Artists
Seminar a few years ago. Our paths later crossed again when we taught at MUSICalifornia.
After spending some time talking with Ray about himself, his ministry, and his very close
walk with the Lord, I was almost convinced that I wanted to have him come to
Washington, D.C., to lead the National Christian Choir in one of his Vocal Freedom
Seminars an event which he describes as "a college level voice class for
laymen".
I say "almost" because there was a twinge of doubt in my mind, so I called
and wrote some of my brothers in the ministry around the country who had experienced
Rays teaching first hand. With no exceptions, the recommendations came back with a
"go" signal.
So I invited Ray to come last fall. Then our schedule got fouled up and I had to
cancel. No problem, I thought: The Choir is sounding great anyway.
Then I listened to a tape of the Choir. Dont misunderstand me; they sounded
wonderful on the tape, BUT my objective ear told me "theres still much
to do with the sound of this Choir", so I called Ray again.
I can now say that I believe Ray Holcomb has as much or more to offer in this category
than anyone I have ever experienced. What an exciting day! The Choir members and our
invited guests who attended loved it! I have seldom laughed so much and learned so
much at the same time.
There was more material to absorb than we could possibly chew up in on day. Thats
both a compliment and a complaint. We learned so much that we realized how much we did not
know. One such day with a great teacher does not a new choir make; but believe me, it was
a day well spent.
So you can guess where I am headed. INVITE RAY HOLCOMB TO YOUR CITY! Have a Vocal
Freedom Seminar for your choir.
Ray requires a minimum of 40 persons. If you dont have them, combine with other
choirs. Each person will be asked to pay $25.00 a real bargain price! Not everyone
will like Ray because he comes on very strong! But he has an endearing way about
him that melts the defensive nature in us all, and his approach is very Christ centered.
I receive nothing for making this recommendation except the satisfaction of saying
"I told you so". Let me know how it works for you.

CALVARY
ASSEMBLY Of God

Dear Ray:
On behalf of the North Atlanta Section of the Assemblies of God and personally, I want
to thank you for the Vocal Freedom Seminar you conducted here at our church. I have heard
nothing but favorable comments about your seminar as well as the private lessons you
conducted subsequent to the seminar. It is most gratifying to hear people still talking
about what a blessing and help you were to them.
I was particularly interested in the techniques you shared for the public speaker. So
many pastors I know have destroyed their voices attempting to get more volume and
dynamics. In all of my studies at the University and at Bible school through various
speech classes, homiletics classes, etc., I had never heard the very simple techniques you
taught me in a matter of minutes.
Would you consider coming back and doing a seminar for pastors in our area? I believe
most pastors could benefit greatly from your experience and understanding.
Just a further word to say "thank you" for the many extra hours you spent
working and ministering to my staff members and their families. Your generosity will not
be forgotten here in our fellowship.
God richly bless you as you continue to work in His Kingdom.
Sincerely,
Dennis B. Lacy

| Dear Pastor: Your voice is one of your most valuable
tools for ministry. Yet most of us have given less attention to the care and use of our
voice than to any other of our tools for ministry.
Ray Holcomb is leading a seminar entitled Vocal Freedom Seminar for Ministers on
January 4, 1990 at the Hotel Bentley, 200 DeSoto Street, Alexandria, Louisiana from 9:00
a.m. until 3 p.m. The cost of the seminar also includes lunch.
The seminar is sponsored by the Baptist Mission Center (Big Creek, North Rapids and
Central Louisiana Baptist Associations in Central Louisiana). The LBC Church\Minister
Relations Division is joining them in extending you an invitation to attend.
Ray Holcomb is well prepared by training, background and experience to lead this
seminar. A former Minister of Music at the First Baptist Church, Pineville as well as
former chairman of the Church Music Department at Ouachita Baptist University, he has a
feel for ministry. Dr. James Cox of Southern Seminary has used his service in vocal
production.
If you desire to spend the night the Hotel Bentley has made rooms available at the
special rate of $55.00 for a single room. Reservations can be made at 1-800-624-2778.
The session on the prevention of voice problems due to allergies, sinus and hay fever
alone will be worth the trip. I feel this will be a very helpful seminar for all
preachers. I hope to see you there.
Sincerely,
James E. Carter
